TRIPLE British Superbike Champion and Grand Prix legend Niall Mackenzie cut the ribbon for the grand opening of the Spinal Unit Action Group (SUAG) dining room on Weld Road Southport. The new dining room was completely refurbished including a state of the art flat screen television, all of which was funded by claims management company Plantec Holdings.
SUAG is a UK based charitable organisation working for the past and present patients of the North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre in Southport. Funds raised provide a wide range of services, including a long and short term residency home for past and present patients of the North West Regional Spinal Injuries Unit. The event took place on 11th November 2009 with a well received turnout. The residents and staff of Weld Road were very pleased with the finished product and are very grateful for all the support that Plantec Holdings has shown - and were delighted to meet Grand Prix legend Mackenzie.
SUAG Home Manager Margaret Cheetham said: “We would like to say a big thank on behalf of The SUAG Committee, staff and residents. We are over the moon with our new dining room and we are all very grateful of Plantec Holdings generosity”.
