The marathon started at Champs-Elyees and finished on the Avenue Foch, while passing the Eiffel Tower, Bouis de Vincennes and many more breath taking sights around Paris on the course of the marathon.
Elizabeth raised £1200 through her sponsorship from friends, family and colleagues at Plantec Holdings. She ran the 26 mile run in 4hrs 5mins 51 seconds, out of 40,000 runners and raised money for The Space Centre in Preston dedicated to special needs, which her cousins Jack age 10 and Lily age 3 attend. Elizabeth said: “It was so amazing, I have never been to Paris, and it is a fantastic place to visit. I am happy to have raised much needed funds for The Space Centre and thank you to everyone who supported and sponsored me; I plan to run the Amsterdam Marathon on the 17th October this year.”
Plantec Holdings sponsored Elizabeth and held a mufti day on 30th April and raised £96 which will be donated to this same charity in Elizabeth’s name.
