PLANTEC HOLDINGS won the prestigious Service Provider of the Year category at the 2010 British Insurance Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday July 7th, beating off the very best of the UK Insurance industry to the accolade.
Southport based Plantec Holdings, which operates a large-scale repair and distribution centre near Birmingham, won the award for its simple and effective approach to improving service for motorcycle claimants whilst at the same time saving significant money for insurers.
Managing Director Lee Evans collected the award in front of hundreds of the leading UK insurance industry executives. He said: “I am absolutely delighted that Plantec Holdings has won this most coveted prize in the insurance world and pay tribute to all of the hard-working staff at Southport and Kingswinford that made this possible – without their efforts, ideas and initiatives, this would not have been possible.
“The Service Provider of the Year Award means a lot to Plantec Holdings. We have based our entire business on innovating new practices all with a view to providing the very best services to anyone who has a road traffic accident and also to cutting the cost for insurers at the same time. This recognition is simply fantastic and endorses our ethos of ethical, honest and excellent service. It galvanises us to work and try harder for our clients.”
Now in their 16th year, the British Insurance Awards are based on a partnership between the judges, the magazines involved, the sponsors and the organisers. The awards showcase top class performance and innovation, they reward achievement and they raise standards. Success at the Awards has become the benchmark by which the insurance industry judges itself.
